Description:

Cybersecurity is a growing concern for businesses, governments and populations around the world. Combine technology with business, law, ethics, policy and human behaviour and be prepared to navigate the complex landscape of cyber threats and solutions. In the Cyber Science degree program, you’ll develop knowledge and skills to write secure code, analyze system vulnerabilities, apply cryptography, and design secure systems, as well as how to bridge the gap between technology, society and business. You’ll build a strong technical and computational foundation in these areas, and explore how they work together in the digital world.

Gain valuable experience before graduation through optional paid co-op opportunities, labs, immersive workshops, competitions and projects. You'll work with faculty experts, industry and community partners and the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst at TMU, where you can apply your studies and even run mock cyber attacks — and defend against them too. With your understanding of both the technical aspects of cybersecurity and your ability to communicate how technology can be influenced, you’ll be well prepared to make a lasting impact in an emerging field.
